He guest starred on an episode of the Simpsons (of course). It was a Valentine's Day episode, and Apu was giving his wife lots of nice gifts. The other guys got jealous, and long story short, Homer spotted Elton John in the airport and thought Apu had hired him. He locked him in a dog carrier. Later, Apu made some comment like "I'm having a rough day" and Elton John said "Hey, I just chewed my way out of a dog carrier."

Whew, too much explaining.
