Hiking and other stuff

I went for a hike last saturday with some of my friends (and their dogs) to get a break from all the studying. This area is really pretty in the fall.

Most people think of forests and pine trees and mountains when they think of Washington state. The Western part of the state is like that, but the Eastern part is way different. It's pretty flat and there are very few trees. The area that I'm in has lots of wheatfields.

I kinda twisted my ankle when we were walking back down. It didn't hurt all that bad and I could walk on it and everything, so I didn't think too much of it. Then I after I took a shower on monday I saw this

Yikes! I called The Nurse (aka, my mom) and she said to just elevate it and put ice packs on it. It doesn't really hurt unless I sit on it funny or something, it just looks like hell.
Then Lily hopped into my lap so I took a picture.

Hee, she looks mad.
