Way back in September when I offered to write fic for Katrina relief,
noviascotiasam asked me to write more of my Gunn/Lindsey teen-AU from that teen boy kissing bit I did long ago (a href="
http://www.livejournal.com/users/moosesal/180011.html">here).
I agreed and sat down to write, but everything that came out was waaaaaay different in tone than the original piece. But I didn't want to scrap it. So then today inspiration struck and I just pounded out 850 words. There'll be more to come because now I can rework the old stuff to continue this.
Warning - this is a WIP that I don't know the eventual length of or if I'll ever even finish it. I can promise that there'll be another part after this. And I won't just leave it totally unresolved. But I don't know how much is in me total.
Title: Seeking Shelter 2
Characters: Gunn/Lindsey, Faith
Back story: This is an AU where G, L, and F are teens living in Anne's shelter in L.A. In the previous story we had boy kissing. :)
Written for
noviascotiasam.
This has not been beta'd.
“So how long do you think it’ll be before Brian shows up down in Mexico?”
“What?” “Huh?” Both guys turned to stare at Faith as they left the movie theater.
“Brian? Dominic? The two guys in the movie we just watched?”
“Yeah?” Gunn looked possibly even more confused than at the original question.
“Oh come on guys,” Faith said. “It’s so obvious they were getting it on. The way they kept looking at each other? There was some serious eye fucking going on.”
Gunn looked at Lindsey. “Did you see eye fucking?”
“Nope,” Lindsey grinned. “I was too busy trying not to come in my pants from your hand--” And suddenly Gunn’s hand was over his mouth before he could say anything else.
“Dude.” Gunn raised his eyebrows and jerked his head towards Faith.
She rolled her eyes and shook her head. “Like I missed the fact that your hand was on the other side of the popcorn bucket the whole time. You know I like to watch, I don’t see why you keep trying to hide it.”
Gunn felt Lindsey’s face grow hot under his hand and when he turned back to look at him his face was beet red. He removed his hand from Lindsey’s mouth and leaned in for a quick kiss. Thinking about the 2 hours they’d just spent in the movie made him want to do a lot more, but the fact that they were on a busy sidewalk put a damper on things. Until Lindsey spoke, that is.
“Oh yeah,” he said. “They were totally into each other.”
Gunn was beginning to wonder if they’d been to the same movie. All he remembered was fast cars and big trucks and Michelle Rodriguez looking hot and tough. And Paul Walker looking hot and thin. And Lindsey looking better than either of them.
“Dude. I kept thinking they were actually going to show something they way they’d look at each other. But the only guy-on-guy action was between the two of you and that damn popcorn bucket was in the way.”
Lindsey’s blush that had just started to fade came back full force. It was funny, because before Gunn had made that first move, Lindsey’d always seemed so hard. So in control. He certainly wasn’t the type to get all shy and embarrassed. But when it was just the two of them (or them plus Faith) he let down the walls and he was just this really sweet guy. Gunn couldn’t believe his luck.
Of course, when it was just the two of them Lindsey showed him things no teenager should be so talented at. He’d started to ask him once about where he learned all of his tricks, but he wasn’t sure he wanted to know. He figured it was safer to just enjoy what he had. After all, everyone in the shelter had something in their past they weren’t too interested in sharing.
“Maybe we’ll treat you to a little more of a show later,” Lindsey teased as he grabbed Faith’s hand. Gunn took the other one and the three of them set off down the street. They only had 30 minutes left to get to the shelter before curfew.
They were joking and laughing with each other when they turned the corner two blocks from Anne’s place. As they came around the corner, they were stopped by two large men in suits. “Lindsey,” the first guy nodded. “Get in the car.”
There was a limousine on the street. Guy number two opened the door, but they couldn’t see anything inside.
“I’m not going anywhere.” Lindsey’s spat, his wall thrown up before Gunn could blink. “Fuck you.”
“If you know what’s good for you, you’ll get in the car.” Guy number two cleared his throat and shifted his suit coat to reveal a bulge under his arm. Gunn didn’t need to see more to know what was there.
“No.” Lindsey’s firm voice faltered a little. Gunn could feel that he was shaking slightly.
“Hey man, why don’t you leave him alone.” Faith started to step to guy number two.
“Faith,” Lindsey pulled her back and shook his head when she looked a question at him. “Don’t.”
“Your father wants you to come home. Now.” Guy number one.
“Father?” Gunn and Faith both looked from Lindsey to the car and back again.
Lindsey closed his eyes and sighed before letting go of Gunn and Faith’s hands. He turned to Gunn and looked him right in the eye. “Go to Anne’s. I’ll see you tomorrow. I promise.”
“What?”
“I gotta take care of this.” Lindsey placed a soft kiss on Gunn’s lips. “I’ll see you tomorrow.” He turned and slid into the car followed by the two goons and the car drove away.
“What the fuck?!” Faith was staring at him waiting for something. But all Gunn could do was watch the car disappear around another corner.
TBC (cue evil laughter)
Note - the movie being discussed in the beginning of this is The Fast and the Furious. If you haven’t seen it, get thee to the videostore. It’s slashtastic. ;-) Two words: Vin Diesel. Mmmmmm.
