So I spent days working on a Smallville fic for this "First" prompt for undermistletoe. This morning I finally gave up. As I was getting into the shower today I was struck by the image of Rodney in his orange fleece and what John must have thought of him that day and each day thereafter. This story says nothing about the orange fleece. It does say a thing or two about John, however.
