I left the helmet because it was hot and I figured I'd only ski a couple of green runs then hang out at the bar. I ended up skiing more than I'd planned and on a couple of long groomers, skiing a little more aggressively than I'd meant to.

I'm compiling some recs as I read. Probably most of them in fandoms no one on my flist reads. But whatever. That's the joy of yuletide, right?

the FIT socks fit AMAZING. Put them on during final relaxation in yoga last night and wore them the rest of hte night, they made my feet HAPPY. Wearing the other pair right now, they're warm enough I didn't need to put on base layers this morning and so far they're absolutely perfect.

That *is* the joy of yuletide. Its also the joy of pinboard or delicious, though delicious sucks now.

I remember being Freaked Out on my bike, even wearing a helmet, any time I got over 35 mph. So I'm very glad you stayed safe while going about 10 mph faster than that. Yikes! Sounds like a great day of skiing, though!

It was not my smartest decision. I'm usually really good about wearing my helmet. I will certainly wear it this coming weekend.
