Can't believe I missed this, haven't been watching the hiatus-comm and this totally got lost even though it was my prompt... *hangs head in shame*

I love it, tbh I wasn't sure you (not you-you, writers in general) could tackle this setting and turn it into a believable story, but you did. I love how Damon is so utterly shocked that Ric wouldn't want him, that he's not Ric's type (yeah, right, go on and lie to yourself about that, Ric) and that he realizes he wants more than sex from him. I *loved* Damon asking Elena for advice and how she told him that Ric had been too hurt by recent events to even trust people anymore. I adored the weird dinner with both of them playing along so that the other wouldn't notice. Wonderful job with the prompt, thank you!
