So I decided on a dress last week for the wedding. I found something absolutely gorgeous online and I ordered it. The shop owner was shipping today (I even had a tracking number) and as she was wrapping it up, she saw a tiny moth hole. *weeps ( Read more... )

It's hard enough to find something vintage that fits over my boobs. This was not only the right sizing, but it's wool with sleeves which is nice for a Feb wedding in the mountains. And I've just so got my heart set on it.

I hope it ends up working! I had a dress that I wore, hole and all for a friend's wedding - but I wasn't getting photographed a bunch. Hopefully this one can be covered nicely, cuz the dress sounds Pretty.

Oh is it the salted caramel one you emailed me? I hope it's fixable. ::crosses fingers::

Yep. It's that one. And I think I'm going to take it no matter what. Don't have the pic yet. But I got this great brooch and earrings to go with, so I really want it.

Coworker said her backyard neighbor is a seamstress (and retired home-ec teacher), so depending on the issue, I might see if she can help me fix it.

I hope it all works out for you!

I had a more traditional wedding, but I had a lot more time to plan it, that's for sure! You're doing a speed course!

I've known since last summer we were going to do this. We just hadn't decided at that time to actually dress up.

Weddings are definitely stressful! I'm sure the seamstress neighbour will be able to help you, and don't fret at all about it. Nobody but you will ever notice if there's a small repair - everyone is going to be dazzled by how lovely you are, plus they're going to be thinking about the ski hill ride down. :0P
