Usually I don't do these kind of things.. but this one triggered something in me; I remember one time we were talking with a movie-teacher (we were making a movie and he was guiding us... even if that ment we had to figure it out all by ourselves and he got paid). Things got a bit personal and we were talking about religion and what we believed in ( Read more... )

Well sorry if I say, so, but where did that guy get that weird idea? As far as I know religion = lifestyle for most people, especially for people who take is seriously enough to call themselfs Christian/buddhist/Muslim etc ( ... )

But my point is, my believe is more than my lifestyle. It's like.. who I am? XD It's hard to explain. I just got a bit ticked off because the question assumes you can just switch your believe and everything you stand for.

And I do take vegetarians very serious! =O I have so much respect for them.. I couldn't live without beef or my meatball @__@

Also, I totally understand what you mean with the pushy-people. Even among Christians you have christian-people that want to push their ideals on to another christian or on 'non-believers'. It frustrates me, cause all you accomplice is pushing someone away from God.

@___@ YES TOMORROW. Argh.. I am almost peeing in my pants! (figurative speaking ofcourse) XD

Hehe okay, in my book someone's lifestyle is a very big part of who someone is xD I was more seperating the 'fulltime' Christians from those who just go to church once in a while, but don't pray before a meal etc.
But for someone to already think everyone can just leave their fate for something better is a bit narrowminded. No one is the same =p

Yes, yes, I admire them too for their strenght to give up the pleasures of the flesh (oooh the pun xDD)! I was a vegetarian for two days and then we had oven-stoved chicken wings.... Bye bye self restraint :'D

Yeah, even amongst Christians there's this 'my beliefs are better than urs'-attitude that some people have. Like, wtf, is believing in God not enough to be part of the gang? @_@

hehe.. I had the same thing:
Morning: 'Mum! I'm going to be a vegetarian!'
Dinner: Beef, salade and potatoes..
well.. sorry.. but nobody touches my beef but me! XD

I love how you said that: 'is believing in God not enough to be part of the gang' ... really x3 that's exactly how it should be described!

Yeah... it's weird that a lot of people see faith as a lifestyle you have chosen.
But seriously. If it were a choise for me, I would've become Buddhist or Wiccan (yay, rituals and stuff :'D).. that's like, way cooler.
But it doesn't work that way. For me it's just a simple fact that there is a God. Whether I like or dislike Him, just gotta deal with it :') And in fact I've been holding a sort of grudge against Him for about 3 or 4 years now? (Long story, nothing to do with gayness, bad happenings in my life or the world. I'm not that boring xD) But I didn't switch religion because of that. Simply because I can't denie what I think is true.

But I don't think one can call me a christian actually... I do share the christian view on God, but I just... don't know what to do with the Jesus-guy :'D

Well, I'm one of those poeple I guess? xD Because, aren't all this preachers referring to 'choosing for Him and Him alone?'

I do think it's a choice: you may not have chosen to follow a certain religion, but you haven't chosen NOT to x3 I think you make this choice every day: do I follow the rules literly or do I take pieces of it and bend it around to my situation? You have in fact chosen as well: to go for what you think is true (which IS true for you, get me? =p) and not leave Him just because of your grudge against him? I think many (ex-)believers should take you as am example, actually! I myself left Him because of the shit that life and Karma has ditched out to me, but you stand strong and don't deny anything. Respect, woman!

[/plea]

If you say it that way, I can't be called a christian either... God, check, Jesus, check, Bible..? NO. :'DD

Hehe, for me it's really not a choise. I just can't denie "truth".
But in fact, I am not following His "rules and guidelines" all that closely everyday. That would be a christian lifestyle... which I am not living.

I mean as an example hm?... what about the gayness? xD Christians often judge that. I don't have a problem with what bible sais about it and I don't want to think about the whole discussion around the subject.
For me it's very simple. God gave me a free will and I decide to use it. If I love a girl, I love her. And I'm fully prepared to take the consequenses of that, if there are any.

A christian lifestyle would be;... trusting on Him and following His rules, even though you might not agree. Obeying Him out of your free will.
I'm not doing that. I'll just disagree and do what I think is right. ... wow, now that I think about it... I've got balls... or a serious lack of brains :'DDDD
