Avenue Q is a Broadway musical modelled off of Sesame Street but its written for adults, specifically 20 somethings out of college who don't know what they're doing with their lives. Thanks to Pezzonovante, I have the soundtrack and I absolutely identify with it. It features songs such as: It Sucks to Be Me, Purpose, Everyone's a Little Bit Racist, If You Were Gay, Fantasies Come True, There's a Fine Line, There is Life Outside Your Apartment, The More You Ruv Someone, Schadenfruede, I wish I could go Back to College, and more. They're the funniest songs I've heard in a long time; these titles don't give you the half of the plot. I really want to see the musical when it comes to Boston (assuming it does eventually). Getting a group together to go to go to NYC to see it also a possiblity.
Tom Lehrer is a fantastic singer. His songs include The Element Song, Poisoning the Pigeons in the Park, National Brotherhood Week, New Math, etc. Google him and the next time you come over I'll play a bunch of his mp3s for you.
