So is SXSW, like so many indie bands, becoming so well known that hipsters will start to avoid it?

Probably not, only because there's tons and tons of unknown bands that will draw them in. One of the main points of hipsterdom is finding out about stuff before anyone else. What's funny about this year's festival though is the three acts most people are writing about are all well-known groups/artists: M Ward, St. Vincent, and the Decemberists. Where's the breakout acts?

Pains are good. I think they're suffering right now from being overhyped, but that record is pretty good. I don't know who Mother Mother is. :p
