My friend Aki keeps it for me.
Her address ,and i pay the bill .
And well,in reality ,i am not a tourist ,but i also do not live there ,100 % of the time .
so it depends upon your perspective.
But its been this way for me since i first went back in 2000.
I had not been there since 91 ,before that ....

I wonder the same thing about people who consider NYC a shopping destination if they live outside of the tri-state area. Who the hell would fly to NYC just to go shopping when for the average middle class consumer you're looking at exactly the same products in pretty much the same stores. Banana Republic might be in the shadow of the empire state building but I assure you we don't have any special products only available in the city ( ... )

Korea is definately not a cheap city either to live/shop. Especially now with the stronger Won rate, it's not cheap as it used to be. I'm always suprised to see how foreign tourist comes to Korea with the misconception that it's going to be cheaper to shop here. Well, there are some cheap stuff you can buy but those are mostly from China. I think US has better bargain durings sales period then here.

Korean consumers are strange and they prefer expensive=good so most imported products/brands end up becoming ridiculously expensive compared to other parts of Asia including Japan.

However, I must say that transportation and entrance to museums and stuff is affordable at a lower price then Japan or NYC.

I guess it also depends on where you come from. If you are shopping with Euro or Pound, it could feel cheaper. But not anymore with Dollars and Yen.

Good to hear that in a sense that people need to have their perspectives rearranged. Thanks. I'll cross Korea off.

Oh, how is it for just touring around? I wouldn't go somewhere to shop personally, but to visit a country, I would go anywhere as long as I thought it would be fair priced.
