OMG - BBC2 game show Pointless is back.

Oh yay! POINTLESS!! Never has a show been so appropriately named. I've been getting quite a few e-mails from the Beeb trying to encourage me to labour over to the Television Centre to watch ANOTHER SERIES of this being filmed. I suppose I expected better from something with Alexander Armstrong in it - after all, he does manage to be occasionally funny with Ben Miller...

Hateful things! Still, at least BBC have loads of things worth seeing. There is none left worth watching where I live. :-(

Oh dear, is it that bad? I know that we Brits tend to moan about the Beeb, but it does have some really good stuff amongst the dross, whereas the commercial channels just seem to have dross amongst the dross.

Dire mutterings surface from time to time that we should do away with the telly licence and let the Beeb raise its money through advertising. God forbid! One of our friends worked on the internet ad for Go Compare, and to give them inspiration, the telly version was played on a continuous loop. He came close to jumping off the roof a couple of times!
