First wipeout of the year! The winner being the lake of black ice that has formed over the road of the industrial estate (very poor drainage...). Knew it would happen, but was momentarily distracted by the prospect of a bacon sandwich. As you do ( Read more... )

Cluedo-thulhu was the only option!

The Resi-Evil thing appealed until Pokemon was mentioned. And whilst the choice of games (and prevailance of homebrew/random/meh... whatever systems) was most fine, the leaning seemed to be on first-person shooters and that was never gonna call to me.

A couple of comfortable D&D one shots completed the mix.

The pitches were strong and confident and the turnout was very, very heartening. Things are on the up, and it feels like Home :)

This year's freshers are brilliant. Next girly night we'll be seeing a few more of them being absorbed into the fold, I'd hope!
Prod Mike to do his boy's thing so those of the XY pesuasion can practise crushing can with their heads and belching... or... something (wait - wasn't that the girly night...?)
It's inspiring, to say the least. Makes you wanna arrange more things and do more things when you know the uptake will be good. New blood in old veins, etc!

I always knew that road was treacherous...
You should hit it.

The hot salty water we were using on the car Sunday was refreezing.

boiling water?!?! Who would do that to get rid of road ice? It'll just re-freeze into a bigger puddle.

Silly English-types. You put rock salt on it, and sand if you need traction right away or it's super cold out.

oh man. Do not want! The zen state and lack of adrenaline shock is very intriguing though...
