[For Chris]

It wasn't often that Chris and Lennox spent the day working on different projects, but every once in awhile, Chris would assign Lennox something different from the rest of the crew. Even though he'd probably never admit it, Lennox liked when it happened. It made him feel like he was trusted more than anyone else on the crew to do a good job and ( Read more... )

Needless to say, after Chris's morning encounter with Mike and two very small, but very hot pieces of metal, Chris hadn't gone back to work. It said something of his crew that he trusted them all to know just exactly what they were doing a part of him wondered if Mike had gone back to work afterwards or if he'd decided to take the rest of the day off like Chris. "Yep," Lennox answered with a grin as he headed inside, closing the door behind him. Hal immediately went over to her water dish, a new addition since they now had the room to leave it inside for her overnight, and Lennox went to the couch, grinning down at Chris.

"Everything's perfect, man. No more escaping goats." He wasn't sure if any goats had escaped to begin with, but he figured if the fence went without the repair for long, a goat would escape eventually. Or a sheep or something.

"Little bit of both and maybe a little bit of something else, too," Lennox said with a faint, hopeful grin, nudging Chris's elbow gently with his own as he settled back against the couch and closed his eyes.

"Working alone is weird," he added, letting himself relax as he got comfortable on the couch. "I mean, I like it, but it's still weird not having the rest of the crew around." He still wouldn't say just why he liked it, but he thought Chris probably understood. "I think it makes my muscles extra sore 'cause you're not around to tell me I didn't work hard enough to deserve a nice, long back rub," he teased.
