Y-Yuma-chan!

We know it wasn't your fault. I-I know that you'd never want to hurt the people here.

Yuma didn't want to, but she did hurt people! Yuma is awful.

Yuma-chan, you're not awful. You couldn't help yourself.

P-Please don't cry. I know people aren't mad at you. I'm not mad at you!

But after what Yuma did... Why isn't everyone angry?

[She wants to believe, but she doesn't really understand why nobody is reacting like she expected.]

... sometimes things happen that you can't help. Bad things. But I couldn't be mad at any of you for this.

If anything... I'm sorry that you had to suffer through this. I can only relate somewhat, but it isn't anywhere near the level that you've been forced to experience.

Yuma doesn't remember a lot... It's all fuzzy.

[That's not exactly true. She remembers it all, as fuzzy as it is, like an incredibly vivid dream.]

But I remember I did bad things.

[Voice.]

I am guessing you would be one of the three witches then. How horrible of them to actually make occupants become the Witches that people went out to destroy. There is no end to their evil.

[He sighs. His voice sounds tired, but he tries to lighten his mood and he softens his voice.]

It is not your fault. The Animus do things that are beyond our control.

[The little girl's voice makes a whimper, then takes a shuddering breath. Everyone felt so bad for her, but it was only because they thought Yuma was innocent, she was sure.]

It's not all their fault.

Yuma and everyone from our world was already like that. But we made a deal with that flower lady, and we weren't supposed to be afraid of that anymore!

[Voice]

[The fact that it was a little girl's voice made it so much worse.]

The flower lady? The Animus. She turned you into the one thing that you were afraid of. Why should we hate you when it was not your fault you were scared?

'Cause even if Yuma didn't want to, she hurt people. People died because of Yuma.

[She sounds depressingly factual on this. She seems ready to accept an entire city's worth of anger and fear, even if she hopes they won't.]

Your name's Yuma, right?

[His expression is rather impassive, but on the inside he's kicking himself. This little girl was the one he helped maim?]

[For this person- who she remembers from the battle, who has never seen her real face outside of that horror she'd become when Usagi had tried to heal her- she'll turn the video on. It's pretty obvious she's been crying, but she wipes her face with her sleeve to clear away the worst of it.]

Mm, I'm Yuma Chitose. What's your name, Oniichan?

[Oniichan? Don't get called that very often.]

....Lemme ask you somethin' first. Do you remember anything from a couple a nights ago?

Yuma remembers a lot of things, but she doesn't remember it all. It's a little fuzzy.

[Her expression darkens, and that might be enough to give away her lie to those who watch closely.]
