okay... my ipod died a while ago... actually... right before I went to college... I lived off my cd player for a while. But it's really old, skips, and has tons of other problems. So I'm really considering getting a new mp3 player... I need one with a lot of memory... which means ipods. But... since my ipod died... I would rather get something that

don't they have warranties?
ipods are taking over the world...there are definately other mp3 players though with large memory, I know my friend has one (I think its sony?). go look at catalogs of electronic stores like radio shack or best buy. they usually have good brands.
