I'm disgusted with people putting themselves in categories. Theres nothing you can do about the stupid dress code. Someone needs to learn how to just drop things. Conformity is in your future.

I'm sure you use this argument a lot.."all those preppy kids all look the same". Face it, so do you, everyone of you wear black. Open your mind, theres nothing wrong with color.

my mind is open...i hate color because i can and always have since i was a little kid...i wear dark colors aon occasion like today...but i seriously do NOT like being told what to do...my parnets know it...which why i never go anywhere or do anything...and who are you to tell me to open up my mind?do you e ven know me?no wonder people think i'm a bitch...because i'm always bitching at people for the shit they say to me and what i say back...

Look, I would have but I didn't see any point in it. If there's were over three hundred protesting it, yea I would have, but if you have no support what so ever you will not make a difference. Not that many people even fucking knew about it. That's just the politics of it. They are not going to listen to the minority. Period. Get over it and move on. I oppose the dress code, but I also realize that sometime in society you have to conform, thats just the way life goes.

i'm labled as a goth in society...i lable myself as a metalhead...big difference...no i don't have a superiority complex...its just that when i am strongly against something i do something about it...instead just sit back and take it like a good little girl...i don't function that way...and if anyone has a problem with me...then they need to back the fuck up and stay out of my line of fire...it will change...i promise...i just don't know when...but we WILL get it changed before our graduation...then...joe and i will feel that we have accomplishrd something...then we can move on...

More accurate, in society you'd be labeled as a freak. I hate it when people label others "goth" that know little to nothing about the gothic subculture...just those highschoolers that wear black 24/7 and listen to mainstream heavy metal. You will not make it any where in the world if you don't do what you are told. You'll never be able to support yourself! I ran up and down three flights of stairs all day today for my work, why? Because I was told and I know that at the end of all this I will be one furthur step up at being somewhere. And if we is only you and Joe, or even 100 people...you won't be able to change it. They are stuck in their decision, and are leaving next years code as it is. Be fucking glad they didn't go on to uniforms! But going on and protesting and all that shit will only make them consider that idea more and more. If you even want to protest...do it right! Read up on the politics of the situation and study up on EVERYTHING that has to do with this kind of shit if youre so interested in changing it

Agreed, you just running to teachers yelling "THIS DRESS CODE SUCKS, IT'S AGAINST OUR RIGHTS BLAH BLAH", will get you nowhere. Like Amanda said, look up on the issue, find reasons why they should change it, not just your opinion. You're not always right.
