I purchased plywood, a drill, and bits so I could make a hookup for my A/C unit for the sliding glass door. Even with the A/C, the house inside is still 90 degrees.
A few summers ago, Chicago was cool, and Seattle was bullshit hot. Also, we had tons of rain, and you guys didn't.
The hottest day we had was July 6 (or around there) and the high was 86.
Eighty-freaking-six. Normally we'd have gone through a few heat waves (90+ degrees, but with the humidity, it would feel like 105 or some outrageous crap).
We've had so much gorram rain that we're all making jokes along the lines of, "Shit, feels like Seattle." Our lawns are *supposed* to be parched and brown, not lush and green.
The ice pack on the kitty is great. I'm sure he/she appreciated it.
