Hi. you don't know me but I read your comment on the Writer's Block.

I agree completely. I wrote my final paper for English my senior year of high school on how none of Nabokov's characters (even the minor ones) are totally good or totally evil, but all have their flaws and virtues and ambiguities, making them believable and likable and hateable all at the same time. Like, Humbert is a horrible person, but his childhood was unhappy, and he does have a conscience of sorts (when he overhears Lolita and her friend talking about death, and she says that the scariest thing about it is how alone you are, and he says "It was then that I knew your mind, and it was hell to know it, my little one" - THAT is when I really saw Humbert as a person and really started to adore him).

So. Yes.
