So, some of you've noticed on Bookface, our heater died on Friday night, and on Sunday the HVAC repair guy decided he couldn't fix it. Also, some might be aware, there have been record low temps all weekend. We live in a house rented from the University, so it's up to them to figure out how to solve this problem. Have you tried boiling large pots of water, at the very least it would increase the humidity by a couple percent making it feel warmer :)

We did boil one pot of water, with cinnamon and cloves... but boiling water was NOT a friend of ours. I know it's hard to imagine from sub-zero Michigan, but it's cold AND wet. We had to open up the bedroom and bathroom despite the cold and extra heating area because there was condensation building up on the windows.

BUT WE HAVE CENTRAL HEAT NOW, so no more rigging up heaters or trying to decide which lights we could have on and not blow a breaker.
