Well, as expected, it was the best of times and the worst of times but thankfully, the marathon is over. I beat my own best times and have officially retired my marathon running shoes. Ten milers, half marathons ... fine. But I just don't think there's any reason to voluntarily feel that way again. That said, it was a great, great day and I am glad ( Read more... )

I would LOVE to be able to do that -- but I am NOT a runner. I actually had a doctor tell me that once -- that some people are runners and others are not, and that I was NOT a runner.

Dude. The first wave start (at 8:15) was all the folks with fast predicted finish times. They all weighed like 95 lbs and had, I am convinced, hollow bones.
