Lately, say in the last year or so, I've been getting this strong urge once in a while, immediately spurred by absolutely nothing at all--no bad days, no infuriating or discouraging events--to say with wholehearted feeling, "Fuck this shit."
And by this shit, I mean school/research/insertprettymuchanynounhere/life.

realization is a weird process
I submitted my SIR to UCI last week. Yet it didn't hit me that I'll be attending UCI for grad school until just now when I sent the rejection emails to Stanford... -
The bad times keep on truckin'
I never thought to consider the economic state of the nation (world) in deciding when to graduate since I didn't think academia would be vulnerable to the fickleness of it all.
