thoughts for us all...

Man...seems like everyone has so much stuff on their plates right now. Are we all growing up this quickly? How sad, but exciting, to look at everything that we have going on right now. I barely have time to just sit and think. I feel like I'm almost, pushing friends away cause I've loaded myself down with all these things I have to get done during ( Read more... )

I felt that way earlier this week when i realized that. Everyone is going off to do their own thing, and im left behind it seems, even though I am their age...(mom started me one year late in school) I was always one year behind everyone and now i wil be left behind next spring in the graduations...ugh.
if theres one thing that i love and hate at the same time, its emotion.

wow..that was a strong and really good post. :)
i know exactly how you feel bout the college stuff - and the sport thing to an extent. all of a sudden we have all these responsibilities, and for me it's very overwhelming. I often wonder if i really am ready for all this new stuff too. i have always been a little more scared than excited about going off to college.. until we went to alabama the other day. now im excited and just wanna go! ..that nursing class was awesome. i'm plannin on going to the camp, are yoU?

I'm excited about college! lol I'm not really scared of going off and being on my own. I'm not really scared of having more responsibilities. The one thing I'm scared about is....this is it. this is the end of our childhood. its like once we open the door to college, it closes the door to our childhood. im not scared of having to take on all of these responsibilities....i'm scared because ITS TIME to take on all of these responsibilities. I've always been more on the independent side. I've always dreamed about what college would be like for me and I cant wait for college. however, i will always miss this. i'll always miss doing the same ole thing. even though now we're all sick and tired of doing the same ole thing every friday and saturday.....i'm really gonna miss it when i go off to college. but...i feel by the time we all graduate....it will be time for all of us to go. it'll be time for change and it'll be our time to go off to college and make a difference in the world. and as hard as it might be to let go of some of this stuff ( ... )

I see college as less of an obstacle and more of an oppritunity. Just because you have more responsibilities doesn't mean it'll be less fun. "The harder the task, the more enjoyable the break". You have to be more mature to handle it all but you don't have to "leave your childhood behind"(depends on your definition of childhood). It's funny how they always play some sad song at graduation.... It's not like we're dying or leaving forever or being abandoned..... it's just the next level of this huge 3D game we're playing. Sure you might lose some friends, and you'll miss all of the awesome times and friends you had in highschool, then you'll just make new friends and even better awesome times... don't hesitate, we'll be fine. Who knows, maybe life gets better as we go. :-)

:) thanks for the posts guys. i think you both can say that...maybe all of you can say that you're "so excited for more responsibility" because you've never had alot of it to start with. no offense, cause i'm not meaning to be mean. just...i'm 17. ive been able to support myself for like two years now. i pay my own everything and have for a while. i mean, you just get FREAKIN TIRED of feeling like an adult when i still want those few years, maybe just months of fun kid stuff left. i think everyone will get what i'm saying when we all go to college....or maybe i just dont know what the heck i'm talking about. BUT i'm just as excited about college as the rest of you are. :) i'm so pumped about this nursing program and all these college packets that come in the mail. gah. i wonder what we're all going to turn out to be like. *smiles* thats going to be so much fun to like, have a high school reunion and see where everyone went and what we turned out to be. HA! so cool.

homeschool highschool reunion..wow..thatd be interesting.
Dunno about everyone else but speaking from my own experience, if i wanted anything, i paid for it...since i was old enough to earn money (13).My parents are good, pay for some clothing, food of course, and the barte neccessaties...but if i want to go to movies, buy clothes vidoe games guitars music anything...theyve taught me i need to learn to pay for it. I applaud them for that
