Next Wednesday, I'll be on a flight to Boston to participate in a pre-trial-trial of a procedure that promises to cure type I diabetes, lupus, ms, and possibly other autoimmune disorders. You're awesome. I'm so lucky to have you as a friend!
It will be a long way off, but it's going to happen - and oh the ice cream we will eat. Next week I'll give some blood and have lunch with the woman who figured out how to unlock the spleen, so to speak, and then it'll be once-a-month trips for similar encounters. The only thing holding us back now is moola. I'm thinking about various fundraising methods... what do you think about a green ribbon campaign? Green for Life. And maybe have an art-day kind of thing, like for a donation people can come and learn how to make boomerangs, weave dreamcatchers, and go home with something pretty?
We have a lot to talk about, so call me :).

that is such amazingly good news. i remember sitting in a parking lot not too long ago and being told that your life expectancy had already passed. i had such an awful feeling of emptiness at the time. you are too amazing to pass out of this world so quickly.

are you going to be in town this weekend? we (joe, jackie, jim and myself) are having a housewarming party for our new apartment on saturday night, the 10th. i would love very much if you could make it.
