The Becks pt 5

After the total gutting and heartbreak of part 4, I think I'll just jump right in where we left off..

Janel proves to still be helpful in the afterlife, showing up at least every other night and carrying out some light chores..

Prom is the next night? Or the night after? I don't know anymore... Candace and Michael had already planned to go, and I can see he's aged up to Young Adult already.. why can't anything just go smoothly? I wanted her to have the memorable event and SOMETHING nice to remember her teen years with...

This stove. I need to replace it. They don't have money to replace it, so I have Carson upgrade it to fireproof.

Or so I thought? WTF.

Luckily, Bailey is Brave, and manages to put out the fire. My nerves are on edge at this point.

One of the girls has a want to throw a funeral...or... ffs honestly I don't know, maybe it was just to throw a party. I'm struggling as much as the family at this point.

Amanda tries to 'Speak Highly of Janel' to Carson...

He walks away mid sentence and I thought maybe he's just having a senior moment, so I have her try again.

This time he yells at her and they take a hit to relationship.. everyone's nerves are on edge. Ugh.

*sob*

So the girls head off with their dates to the dance, and everyone tries to have a great time. I could hug Michael for this.

I honestly feared how it was going to go since the age difference could possibly throw ALL my plans for the future out the window. Apparently Michael had plans of his own..

I was a little surprised by this. Happily surprised. They said they were taking pictures, but something bugged up with curfew and they got sent home before the pictures got in their inventories. I guess things could be worse.

One of the perks of Michael being a young adult, they were allowed to continue the night at the beach and not worry about curfew.

He stole that sheep from the Beck's house as a toddler, and this made me tear up a little.

They talked and did every action available (which are not many) until the sun came up, and left as both boyfriend/girlfriend and best friends. Have I mentioned I <3 him?

He even came back to the house and played chess with her until she was ready to pass out.

Carson is slipping further and further down, walking around in his underwear and Mr. Rodger's sweater constantly.

He refused to sleep in the master bed, which left Candace to take it over a little earlier than I'd originally planned.

I wanna take a second and explain. I don't know HOW this happened. I think I had queued up repair options for Carson and Amanda, and they overlapped. And possibly, I'm too dumb to realize fixing THE stove near a puddle means....

I hate everything right now.

This is all my fault. How did I not see this coming?

Really, truly, I wanted to alt+f4 out and try again...and I almost did. But I felt that would be Serious Cheating, and yeah... I'm gutted.

When I saw this, I thought he was pleading for himself and I got so SO happy, giddy even.....he wasn't.

Everado spent the entire funeral consoling and hugging Amanda...and...ugh. I can't take much more of this.

Michael did the same for Candace.

She almost immediately retreated to the study to paint. The next few days were a blur of painting, then crying, then painting some more.

Bailey threw herself (and her wants) into fixing every broken thing in the house, trying to fill the void left by Carson.

Amanda I think took it the hardest, she went to his room (also known as the day care room) and just sat blankly staring at the TV.

Early early the second morning after, Bailey tries to talk about things...

...which sent Candace over the edge. She cried for two hours.

I tried to push them into other activities... but it always came back to more of the same, talk about one of the parents, everyone cries.

Bailey handled herself the best, taking care of Carson's garden as well as keeping up the household repairs.

Soon enough, it's Amanda's birthday, and I'm so scared to have something else tragic happen, I almost don't want to have the party.

Immediately, she resumes stalking Everado, and everyone survives the party.

It's maybe a little bit somber, but gets a nice score, which helps the girls TONS.

Amanda loves to research science most of all, and it warms my heart to see her get back into the station.

I'm intrigued, so I have the girls take the University assessment, and Candace blows the charts away in Fine Arts.

Amanda tries to scold Bailey for not going to school, and it doesn't go over well. At all.

The girls take turns trying to keep Carson's garden going, because I feel like it's the least we can do at this point to make it up to him.

Soon enough, Candace stops what she's sculpting (a toilet for the second bathroom, incidentally) and ages up to YA. It's about freakin time, in mine and Michael's opinions.

'Indifferent study habits' my ass. Ironic she got the trait I would have chosen for her anyway.

She ages up into a very cute outfit and suitable hairstyle and I feel kinda relieved that my heir has made it.

Her uh...twin, Not so much.

Candace wastes NO time in rolling up certain wants, and I oblige.

He looks confused, but I am pretty sure he has a similar want of his own.

She pops out the ring, he accepts, and I have him move in. But....I'm not quite ready for marriage and babies yet.

I had a bright idea that between the money Michael brought with him, and the scholarships the girls got, to give them some time off and away from the house...all four of them went off to University the next morning.

Amanda studied Medicine/Science, Bailey and Candace both majored in Fine Arts, and Michael got stuck with Business.

Uni buildings aren't the best to take pictures in, because this happens at random.

It's going to be interesting to see how uni works with four active students.

Bailey constantly wants to throw parties, and...wait. What's she asking him?

...that's what I thought it was.

Sketching nude sims is apparently a great way to up your class progress. Who knew?

So university consists of lectures, classes...

...skilling and studying...

And a little bit of free time. Just...ignore her.

Michael wanted to throw a bachelor party, and I was curious what that all entailed..

He spent the whole time stalking and romancing his bride to be.

I adore these two, I really do.

...what. I'm not sure why she looks so happy, that looks awful.
