honestly, im kind of angered at how the phenomena of online confessionals has tainted the purity of what a "journal" used to be. journals and diaries weren't meant for people to write what they wanted to, uncensored and unashamed. yet both myself and others have recently battled with the way it might be perceived, however, only now is this as issue. no one ever cared what people thought about what they wrote before, it was supposed to be for you and you online. i feel that the online testimonials are meant more for understanding and possibly an entertainment value, depending on your topic. for things relating to you on a personal level, as long as you aren't criticising or slandering others, i feel should be done bravely and unapologetically. if you feel the need to bitch, then do it. there are far worse measures that people go to to vent their frustrations and writing is possibly one of the most peaceful, reflective, and non-confrontational ways you can do it. once again stating that as long as your intent is for your benefit alone

I hardly see anyone unless you work with me,live with me, or are in one of my classes. I just haven't felt very social because I am always tired. On the rare occasion that I am not working or in school, I am usually sleeping or trying to spend a little time with Josh and Ireland.Hopefully soon I won't be working so much and I will definitely want to hang out. My goal is to eventually only work 3 shifts a week at Picklefish but we just don't have enough servers right now for me to do that

My roommate and I got in to this unbelievable fight because I said that I was irritated with her in my last post. She is possibly moving out because of it. She is mad that I didn't tell her in person and instead I told everyone else via livejournal.

You are right, complaining is healthy. And it is hard to complain to someone in person.

i have lots of years of practise of telling people my experience of them (viewed in real life as complaining or bitching, its a fine line for some people). this experience has both taught me how people filter information (i.e. deciding its an attack and taking that as a measure to take space) or use it against someone as a form of defensiveness. it's really really hard to be honest with someone whose affecting you, and depending on the person, harder for them to understand it as information and not an absolute truth. so far there has been one person in mobile that can take what i say as merely an experience and not a be all end all attack on them, and i must say, that is one person i cherish dearly because of it. i can say "you're fucking up, here's how i see it..." and it not be a big deal

The feeling is mutual, sweetheart. Oh yeah, exactly how shitty was Jared Leto & His So-Called Band? I just got back from N.O. today. It was a much needed break from the awesomeness that is Mobile. We did all the touristy stuff: French Market, Art Galleries, Cool Bars, Stellar Cuisine, Brass Bands etc...
