So, no more draftcap.   Discussing drafts was the whole reason I created a livejournal account, now I'm wasting time discussing what books I've read instead.  That was kinda interesting though

Flame Javelin should never be in the board. Play it over the river's grasp so that you don't have random swamps messing up your Godhead and Plumeveil. Then you are playing 9 islands 8 plains, and you could consider going to 10/7 because Wasp Lancer and Glen Elandra Liege are island dependant while Spectral Procession and Armoured Ascension are still playable if you don't have 3 lands of the right colour, just not as good.

fair reasoning. I really like River's Grasp, but you make a good case for the Flame Jav over it. to be honest, I actually forgot it when building, it was only during round two that I remembered it... :\

The first thing I would have done when I got that pool would have been to put the javelin into my deck.

And I really like River's Grasp too, but deck was good enough that you didn't need to weaken the manabase to play it.

Ditto Javelin. And power of fire is a better splash than river's grasp imo.
