I only sell a game if I have a duplicate or I really need the cash for something otherwise I keep them all. I have 100s of video games, last time I counted it was around 500 and that was several years back. I'm sure it's got to be closer to 700+ now.
On the other hand I rarely buy brand new games unless it's a game franchise I already love and can expect quality from. Otherwise I wait until they until they're fairly cheap and buy them off someone else. I suspect if I paid $50+ every time I bought a game I'd probably sell them back more often, because I'd have more to be disappointed in.
Oh my GOSH I wish they would re-release or re-hash Star Wars Battlefront for 360! That game was SO much fun. I loved the battle where you could board and sabotage enemy Star Destroyers! And those droid troop carriers were so OP...
I'd agree that replay value is also the determining factor for me when I'm considering selling a game. Replay is the main reason I bought Fable 2, and I was a little disappointed with it as well. There's little variation in the missions and the main reason to replay is just to see how your character's looks change. I intend to keep it, though, just for the sheer beauty of the artwork in the game.
My game collection isn't very large so I don't have any reason to cull it. Usually, I just give away games that are collecting dust to friends or co-workers and never ask for them back. The favor is often returned, so it all works out in the end.
Oh, you're right - I had the two of them so I get them mixed up. Is there still a fair amount of online activity for Battlefront? I may swing by some used game stores and see if I can have any luck finding it.
I can't believe I didn't google this earlier; there's some leaked gameplay footage of BF3 on youtube:

Now, the idea of either selling a game or buying a used game is unthinkable. It is more likely that I will buy a game that I am never going to play.

But it looks like they're experiencing the usual licensing red tape when it comes to getting it released:
