Why do people get married? I haven't been in a relationship in so long I don't think I could do it. People get married because they want someone they can count on and to stave off loneliness. I am not sure if this will offend...I am a fallen away Catholic if that makes any difference, but my mom sent me this article when I got married in July. It really made a lot of sense to me, it is such real life advice! I hope it can be of use to you now or in the future when all is well.

I read the magazine Country Living quite obsessively and its editor, Susy Smith, got married to her partner two summers ago and wrote a bit about their wedding and what I found really, really lovely is that they'd been together for several decades and had two kids and the wedding was sort of the icing on top of a succulent cake. That's the only way I'd ever get married.

Also, I'd never get involved with anyone if I hadn't known them for a long time. And I've never been in a relationship or betrayed by anyone so I can definitely understand if you're feeling a bit appehensive!
