Sometimes I really don't know what I'm doing. Saturday I was recovering slowly from a fever that sneak-attacked me the day before and to battle the listless feeling of a not-as-fast-as-I-want recuperation, I decided to go to town with a recently acquired recipe.

I'm making pineapple zucchini bread. Kicked everyone out of the kitchen and playing a mix of Andrea Bocelli, Mario Frangoulis, Josh Groban, Sarah Chang, and Rachmaninoff. Aw yiss.

Askfhlkahsf I love using the shredder. I’d use that monster for an hour if I could, but the recipe called for only two cups shredded zucchini. Maybe I can just shred the entire zucchini for, you know, next time…

And you know what’s even better? I’m heading out with Pie and another good friend to see three mates I’ve worked with before perform in a kickass production of Grease. I also am taking the smaller pan of bread (and a bottle of rum. And a bottle of coke) because after the show is done and the audience is gone, the cast and crew are kicking back and watching Doctor Who. Hell. Yes. Homegrown zucchini, fresh eggs from the chickens next door, and grapes forced to believe they’re raisins, all made for damn fine bread, and I’m excited to share it with my peeps.
Of course, I ended up over-doing things in my exuberance and I was completely wiped out again Sunday. So worth it, though.
