Of dentists and pain

I went to the dentist last week for a very basic check up which cost me nearly £60.

I had no particular pain.

Today, I am in pain and now need to pay the dentist another visit [at a further cost].

Ironic.

Only really ironic in the Alanis Morrisette sense, though. To quote Ed Byrne: "A no-smoking sign on your cigarette break, that's inconsiderate office management. A no-smoking sign in a cigarette factory - irony". :)
