For those that don't know, I turned 24 a couple of weeks ago. It's been my M.O the last few years to talk about how old I'm getting, etc. I didn't really do that this year, and for good reason. Fooled by Randomness is excellent; presumably you've read it if you've read The Black Swan. Your post actually reminded me that I needed to pick that up, so thanks.

On the Vonnegut front, read Welcome To The Monkey House. Terrific short stories, led by "Harrison Bergeron."

(hope howie is ok!). I have read Fooled by Randomness and thought it was "ok". A lot of the complaints I had with that book carry over to The Black Swan, but on the whole, I think TBS is MUCH better. Orders of magnitude better. Perhaps this is because of my background in economics where the bell curve is so prominent.

I'll add the Vonnegut book to my list. Hopefully it's similar to Breakfast of Champions. I really dig his style of writing in this one.
