I sort of suspect the answer involves, say, killing Neji because Itachi died or something.

It actually depends! Is Neji willing to help Sasuke avenge Itachi by destroying Konoha? Probably not, but Sasuke would at least ask first and maybe just let Neji get away with a severe crippling out of respect for his brother.

That sounded nicer in my head. ANYWAY.

... they've known each other for years and I'm just realizing Sasuke is so ambivalent towards Neji when he's not making out with Sasuke's brother. He has the same disinterest/disdain for Neji that he does for the rest of the ninja in camp, but this feeling is muddled due to Neji's involvement with Itachi.

WE CLEARLY NEED TO THREAD MORE TO RESOLVE THIS. :|a

Aang understands how much Jet and Zuko depend on each other here in camp. He's happy for the both of you and is very appreciative of Jet's respect for and devotion to Zuko. It takes a lot of pressure off Aang's Must Jesus Everyone's shoulders knowing that his friends can be so happy here.
