My apologies to those for whom my story was wrecked by the separation of the climax from the rest of the text. Doctors don't like to read a lot of jabber, so when writing nurses' patient reports we make sure to put the important stuff separate so a quick skim will tell the doctors all they need to know, and they can move on to their coffee breaks
