Food stuff

Last Monday a few of us had a tasty meal at Jayakarta, an Indonesian/Singaporean restaurant near UC Berkeley. We ordered the following:

  • Otak-otak panggang - grilled fish cake - probably my least favorite of the night.
  • Roti prata - the roti was appropriately crispy and chewy at the same time, however not a big fan of the curry sauce. I prefer ( Read more... )

Jayakarta was the highlight of our last Berkeley trip -- the first casual Asian restaurant to get excited about in a long time. Not perfect, but very good, with lots of stuff on the menu to try. I think we went back twice.

I think the only thing to justify the price at Koo was that Boston shrimp ;-p
