can I just say, in the persona of my own self, 1) how heartbreaking these few words of yours are, and 2) how DESPERATELY I feel the need to justify Arthur??!! And I can't. Nothing I can think of, in my own words or his, is anything less than another lie or else just an excuse. Thus proving two things:

1) how very powerful a writer you are, and

2) how very screwed up I must be that I can't manage to disentangle my own brain from a situation which doesn't in fact have anything to do with me.
