New Sewing Blog - THE NAMING

I liked Gathering Pins, because I liked the idea of the blog also being about refining yourself and your skills. I also like the rhythm of it and the fact that it's more of an action, a doing and a becoming, rather than just a thing or a place. I guess I'm the only one who favors it, but that's okay. I also was imagining myself telling someone about the blog and seeing how it sounded to say, "My friend has this blog, it's called 'such-and-such'", and I liked the way "Gathering Pins" sounded.

I like the way you think! Unfortunately, everyone's arguments for their choices sound equally compelling to me. If I were to go with strict majority at this point, it would be Path of Needles. If I went for my *favorite* option, it would be Path of Pins. If I went with what I think is the *best* name for a blog, it would be Gathering Pins. This is how my mind works, and it makes it hard for me to make decisions.

Incidentally, "Gathering Pins" also has the fewest relevant Google hits - mostly it's just buttons & pins with Magic the Gathering logos on them. Either of the "Path" options gets results for the article I linked to, the online game The Path (which is awesome but distracting) or various fan fics, videos, etc. named these things. I think having less Google competition is a good thing for way down the line.

That's true too! I hadn't thought of that, but it's something to consider. I hereby throw my full support behind Gathering Pins.
