I want to make the sky shine
Stumbling around the net I found something wonderful that I want to do with a million other people.
They are Khom Loy, but you can call them sky lanterns.
Near as I can make out they are paper lanterns with a wax ring under them in a bamboo bowl.
I want to launch a hundred of them from somewhere like Art Hill, or the Joust Field at Faire, and then just watch as they drift across the night sky. Maybe a crazy idea is to test them out by putting one on a 50 foot leash, so that it just stays right over the area, but it have to be done on a real windless night. Oh, send them up from under the Arch and get someone on then other side of the river to take pictures....
