Is Google broken?

Jan 31, 2009 09:19

Every page link has "This page may harm your computer" under it. And then when I try to go to the page it takes me to a page that tells me again that the page is not safe but I can continue on, except there is no way provided to continue.

And I do mean every page. And now... it is gone.
Wha da fug? Confusion....

I encountered the same thing. I deleted the first half of the url, up to the second HTTP and it sent me through just fine. Apparently this is not a unique problem.

Seems fixed. Now i just get to see what the news makes of it.
Sky falling! Google down! Is it a terrorist attack? Is it a sign of the second coming?

Only seems to happen to me if I go through the Firefox search bar. If I go directly to Google.com and search from there, it works. Edit: And since I tried last, it seems to have stopped?

I think a server has gone to the big database in the sky. And now that they have kicked in the the back up copy.... big sites can now see how big a loss in page hits they had during that time. Silver lining found.
