this assumes that every american would be financially respomsible for these taxes. you have to look at those who arent working, strictly are on Social Security or Welfare and children and take them out of the equation.
Additionally take my mom who pays $400 a month for terrible insurance w/insane co pays, then she is going to be taxed on subpar insurance. Or my bofriend who works for a union that does their healthcare privately funded and pays almost $20k a year for insurance.
there is a healthcare crises but the math isnt quite so simple as all that. It wont hurt people like me so bad who pay just $30 a month, its the people who are already struggling to pay outragous fee's for terrible insurance that will be struck the hardest.
