I like it. A lot. Because ... drum roll please... it's perfectly balanced at the end. I love balance!
Apologize for excessive use of exclamation points and I'm really glad that we discovered what Dominic was afraid of--pleased that didn't end up on the cutting room floor.
Sure you could've, but that was nice of you to say. They both reached out. They both made a mistake. He's afraid. She's creating distance. Then they'll both have to venture something.
Ooh.. post-post-apocalypse 'fic! So awesome, not enough of them are out there. How exactly one goes about rebuilding the world is certainly interesting..
I like Adelle reticence to stepping into power, I can definitely see her not wanting to go back into such a role after her hand in it all.
I love them moving back toward trusting each other slowly and that the connection in their relationship is still there after all that time and bitterness.
I love post-pulse stories but there are so few of them. But I have to say that this one is definitely my favourite. I love how you painted the Dom-Adelle relationship as being different due to circumstance but still inherently the same at its core (built on re-gained trust).
