Business Trip 1

The broken glass crunches underfoot as she crosses the wrecked bar. The owner is a bleeding heap - possible still alive, it is hard to tell. In contrast Laurence Dominic has barely a hair out of place, impressive since he has just beaten a man perhaps to death and orchestrated a full scale bar fight.

His back is rigid with tension as she approaches, his anger a living, powerful thing. She is responsible for provoking that rage, not the man who lies at his feet. But he can’t strike her, though he probably wants to. He’d objected to her making this excursion, been very clear about why he didn’t think she should be here. He’d been correct of course, the bar owner was a lying scum-bag intent on a double cross to exhort more money out of them. But that wasn’t the point.

The harmless little business trip had become risky and the girl the rest of the security personnel had ushered away a little while ago may or may not be worth the trouble. But they needed a new November and she has an instinct about these things.

It wasn’t the double-cross that had caused all the trouble, that had been handled easily enough - but the man had made the mistake of threatening her and there was only one possible resolution once he had crossed that line.

“Are you all right ma’am?” His team is too well trained to let anyone get close to her. Privately they might question the level of violence he’d unleashed on the man who had tried but they would never remark upon it.

I’m quite unharmed Mr Dominic.”

Together they watched the bloody, ruined body being taken away. He is still angry with her but she has no intention of apologising. Stalemate then. Unless one of them responds in an unexpected way.

“You knew he’d double-cross you.”

“Of course.”

Then why do it? Just for the girl?”  She smiles, because the girl is only part of the reason and then turns away. But her retreat is interrupted when a cool hand grasps her wrist to pull her back. He snaps, his eyes blaze as he pushes her back against the bar and he growls, “for this then?”

His kiss is scornful; taunting and teasing even as she digs her nails into his shoulder and he presses her harder. It’s rough; he hitches up her skirt, tears her underwear and his anger leaches out against her skin, exhaled in sighs and groans. Her back hurts and his fingers grip her too tightly, his lips are bruising and she feels marked by him even as she submits. She scrambles for purchase, knowing he won’t allow it.

Undignified sounds escape her, perhaps she even begs at one stage and whatever she says provokes a feral grin and a change in angle that has her clutching his shoulders and arching her neck back as she writhes against him, urging him on.

Afterwards they straighten their clothing, her legs are trembling and she knows she looks as though she’s been given the seeing to she deserves.

Ma’am.” He is formal, reluctant to look at her; by no means the man who had just taken her as though he has no reason to hold back.

“Adelle,” she corrects gently - stepping close, pressing her body into his.

“Adelle,” he stumbles over the name and his expression pleads with her to assist him. She relents, stroking his cheek, pressing a fingertip to his lips when he tries to speak and kissing him gently.

“Would you like a treatment Mr Dominic?”
