me: okay, well, basically, they're saying it's just about gay marriage, but it's worded very delicately

Mega hugs, and a punt in the arse for that kid. Did the teacher said nothing to him? I knew a teacher who was rather homophobic himself but was very fair and made it a point to reprimand everyone who spoke out against minorities of any sort.

once mark was gone...

me sherman: just so you know, i will not tolerate any comments made like that in class. a comment like that is just as bad as a racial slur. it's just simply intolerable to me to have comments made in class that say something like that about who someone is fundamentally.
