Aw, skating on a frozen lake. That sounds funny to me because I grew up in a place where everybody did that. :) Was it everything you dreamed of and more? Haha.

I want to try kickboxing too, but am nowhere near as close to doing it as you are! I should really find out where to go. I know it'll cost more than I originally thought, because my best friend started doing it last year and had to buy gear and stuff.

What are you doing again for the Olympics? Ryan's dad is a volunteer too, but he's doing behind-the-scenes stuff. He had us LOLing when he went to pick up his uniform. He's a bigger guy, and was like "Why can't these be all black? Black is slimming - I'm gonna look like a marshmallow!" I bet you'll be super hot though, if your torch-running pictures are any indication. ;)

It's possible that movies like "Mystery, Alaska" have over-romanticized skating on lakes. What I really want to do is skate on a frozen RIVER ( ... )

That was one of my resolutions from last year - one of the moms at my school told me I should join her hockey team, and I was thinking about it. I'd definitely like to try someday, but not having the gear is a HUGE roadblock. Hockey gear is NOT cheap, and I'd need everything! Ryan said I can borrow his if I ever want to try it out, which is probably what I'd do, but yeah. One day. :)

Dude, that is EPIC. Not only did you get to run the torch, but you're gonna be on teevee for some of the most important events?! Crazy! That's so exciting about the hair, haha. Good luck with the drinking! I find that ignoring your social life tends to help with that, though I wouldn't recommend becoming a hermit like me. :P
