How much does it make me laugh that your selected most hated book is my boyfriend's most hated book and your runner-up is mine? This amuses me way too much, possibly because I've already commented on another entry today going MY BOYRFIEND DOES THE SAME THING AS YOUR HUSBAND, WTF. It's a conspiracy, or something.
I will not ask for questions because I doubt I am interesting enough to you to merit good ones, but ♥!
That is because The Scarlet Letter is the purest form of literary evil that exists. All the others are just amateurs.
WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, WOMAN, YOU ARE TOTALLY INTERESTING. I DEMAND THAT YOU ANSWER THESE:
1. Do you have a favorite crackpot theory about Watchmen? Everyone has one! 2. What is your ultimate dream of baking achievement? 3. Do you have a favorite work of visual art, and if so, what makes it important to you/attracts you to it? 4. Who is a historical figure you feel is going under-acknowledged in general culture, and will you tell me some interesting facts about him/her/it? 5. If you could make every single person on earth read one book, what book would you choose?
Oh, Scarlet Letter. My copy's still sitting unread on my bookshelf, but from what I've seen of my friends' opinions', it's something of a love-it-or-hate-it deal. On the upside, the movie version is very helpful for when I need clips set in 1600s America.
1. If you could remove the memory of reading one book from your mind, what would it be? And would it be so you could experience it afresh, or because the reading experience was so loathsome that you would be out for the writer's blood if it were in the least socially acceptable? 2. What quality that you see in others would you most like to have for yourself? 3. Which two authors, howsoever disparate their time periods and styles be, would you love to see collaborate, and what would the resulting book generally be like? 4. Which language would you most like to know instantly, and why? 5. What would the perfect society look like? Is it even possible?
1. Describe your ideal vacation. How long, where, traveling companions, the works! 2. What will your place of residence look like in the future? 3. If you could only listen to one band for the rest of eternity, what would it be? 4. Describe yourself with only a photograph, not of yourself. 5. You can pass three absolute laws over the entire world. Which do you choose?
