Is it possible to watch a show from the beginning and love it all the way through?

I came to most of my fandoms pretty late in the game - either after they were over completely, or after they’d been on for a few seasons. I can't watch week to week. If I don't get bored by the end of the season, it's a miracle, and I'll usually start forgetting to watch and then catching up on several episodes at a time before that ( ... )

Yeah - when I mentioned participating in fandom, I meant producing as well as consuming fanworks. I certainly do more of the latter, but it's much easier to find fic written contemporaneously with canons that are still open.

IA that shows start doing weird things in later seasons. But for the most part, the shows I've watched do have characterization that I enjoy over seasons - I kind of like seeing a shallow, obnoxious asshole become more than that, if it's done well. But I could see how it might not be.
