Thought I'd do a quick post about stuff I'm watching besides SPN. It's been a long time...
First off - The Walking Dead. I LOVE this show. I thought last season was great and couldn't wait for this season. I have to admit I had some problems with the S2 premiere...I thought the storyline about searching for Sophia dragged on a bit, but on the whole, I was SO glad the show was back. I liked last week's episode much better. It went a long way in making me care about the characters, which is essential for a show like this to work.
So, yes. I like it. I like most of the characters well enough...Andrea might be my favorite, because she's fierce and badass and I really like the potential that her storyline has. Rick, as the central character, of course caught my eye...and I like him well enough. I loved Glenn in the second episode, but since then he hasn't had much to do. He was awesome then, though, so I hope they focus more on him! Dale is great too. Lori and Shane I'm sort of on the fence about, and the rest I don't have many thoughts on. Oh, I find Carol beyond annoying. Buuuut yeah overall I like the show a lot!
I've also been watching Grey's Anatomy pretty closely for the past few seasons, caught up on the older seasons a few years back. I like the show well enough for what it is. I do like most of the characters (Alex is my favorite, Meredith, Cristina and Derek are also awesome, and I have a newfound love for Teddy/Henry. Oh, and Jackson is the prettiest man alive) and the storylines, while inane sometimes, are relatively intriguing to me. On the whole it's a show I like, but don't spend too much time thinking about.
I watch Private Practice just because I love Addison, but I don't really love the show. Oh, and Glee's sort of my guilty pleasure. It's very hit or miss with me, but I'm watching for now anyway. Other shows I watch sporadically when they're on include Cougar Town and Melissa and Joey (I have a soft spot in my heart for those actors from my childhood, even though I know the show is laughable. It's fluff, though). I sort of gave up on One Tree Hill when Lucas and Peyton left, and because I thought the show was going on too long, so I haven't seen it in a few years. But, one day maybe I'll go back and catch up on it.
I've also been trying out a bunch of new shows this season but haven't decided which ones I'll stick with ultimately:
* Ringer - the pilot was decent but since then the show's gotten less interesting. Sarah Michelle Gellar is great (and yay Nestor Carbonell!), but the plot is pretty ridic, so I dunno if I'll stick with this one.
* Terra Nova - the premise is cool, but again, the execution not so much. We'll see.
* Person of Interest - I started this b/c I LOVE Michael Emerson, but the show itself is really not my thing. I'm already behind, not sure if I'll catch up.
* Pan Am - I like the premise of this and it's decent fluff, but a bit boring, I have to admit. I like it well enough for now.
* Once Upon a Time - just watched this the other night, and I LOVED the first episode. It was really interesting and the characters seem good too. Fairy tales aren't really my thing, but it sort of worked in the first ep, so...we will see.
So yeah, that's what I'm watching. There's a lot of shows in the list but only a few I'm really invested in, so it works out :)
