I've found an article in Obesity Surgery "Continued Excellent Results with the Mini-Gastric Bypass: Six-Year Study in 2,4120 Patients." It states that 83% of the people with diabetes show an improvement after the surgery. It doesn't mention lactose intolerant problems, or the acid pooling. It mentions that the first of the mini gastric bypasses the studied were done in 1997, so there won't be many long-term studies available, at least for a while. Anyway, look over the article when you get it, and let me know if you want any of the articles in the bibliography.... :)
