empathies!!! when penny retired last year i was rather pained. she's the first dr for many years that i've been able to trust with much of anything. she was the first one to treat me like i had more between my ears than ears and always listened carefully to me. i never walked out of her office feeling like i'd been shuffled about.

her replacement, milka is good and she's smart enough to know that i don't trust her much. however, she's also really into listening and talking and looking below what presents on the surface.

i still miss penny, but i'm heartened with the knowledge that she's helping to keep physicians educated by working with the college of phys and surgeons continuing education.
