I am glad you and your kids are okay; I've been talking to friends up there, and one in Brooklyn (just off the Belt) had a foot of water, and Matt's partner's parents, who live on LI, came home (they had stayed with relatives) to find so much water that the fridge was literally floating in the kitchen. And my mouth dropped open when I saw photos of one of my old hang-out places, the East Village. Many hugs!!
